Overview

Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. Situated approximately 200 kilometres east of Colombo at an elevation of 1,041 metres above sea level, it offers breathtaking views, cool climate, and stunning natural scenery.

The area boasts rich biodiversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations, Ella has become one of Sri Lanka's most popular tourist destinations, offering hiking trails, waterfalls, and the famous Nine Arch Bridge.
