Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Wonderscapes Travels. You will then be transferred to the coastal city of Negombo. During your stay, you may choose to enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic therapy treatment. Negombo is a vibrant town known for its rich cultural influences and coastal charm. If you wish to explore, you can take a peaceful boat ride along the historic Dutch Canal or simply relax on the famous golden sands of Negombo Beach.

Leave the coastal town of Negombo and travel inland to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Founded in 1975, the orphanage was originally established to care for seven orphaned elephants. Over the years, it has developed into an important centre dedicated to the care, protection, and study of elephants, while also promoting conservation and education. After lunch, continue your journey to Sigiriya, one of the key destinations within Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. In the evening, climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable 5th-century fortress, rising dramatically from a massive rock, is considered one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive architectural and historical landmarks.

After breakfast, begin a city tour of Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is rich in legends, traditions, and folklore, many of which are still preserved and celebrated today. Enjoy a scenic drive to Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka, known as the centre of Buddhism and the stronghold of the last Sinhalese kingdom. Explore the town at your leisure and pay homage to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses Sri Lanka’s most sacred relic – a tooth of the Lord Buddha. In the evening, attend a performance featuring traditional dances from different regions of Sri Lanka. Conclude the day with a romantic candlelit dinner for two and enjoy a restful night in luxury.

This morning, after breakfast ,Take the upcountry train to Hatton, high in the mountains, and enjoy the breathtaking views along the way. Check into your luxury colonial bungalow, surrounded by rolling tea plantations and overlooking the picturesque Castlereagh Lake. You will be welcomed by your personal butler, who will attend to you throughout your stay, as well as the executive chef, with whom you can plan your dining options. The cool mountain climate is perfect for a relaxing stroll, or you may simply unwind by the fireplace until dinner.

For a touch of adventure, try water sports on the Bentota Lagoon, and finish the day by watching the glorious sunset over the coast.
