Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Wonderscapes Travels. You will then be transferred to the coastal town of Kalpitiya. This idyllic coastal region is located along the western coastline, north of the commercial capital, Colombo. The peninsula lies nestled between the deep Puttalam Lagoon to the east and the vast Indian Ocean to the west. Kalpitiya is known for its rich marine sanctuary and diverse habitats, including expansive sand dune beaches, bar reefs, mangrove swamps, coastal plains, salt marshes, and saltpans.
